PLANTING TIPS:

Bulbs make the most impact en masse or in clusters. Plant bulbs within a week of purchase or store them in a cool location.

Plant to a depth of about 3x their size, firmly place bulb in soil, pointy tip up. I grow them close together like eggs in a carton; for landscape beds, grow them about 4-6" apart.

Water in. Back fill the soil, gently tamp down, and gently water again.

Tulips: prefer full sun (6 hrs/day of direct sunlight)

Alliums, Daffodils, Hyacinth, Muscari: full to part sun

Bulbs need water to help establish their roots, but avoid planting in areas prone to standing water.

In springtime, the normal spring rains are usually enough. If a dry spring, be sure to water. Especially with tulips, short stems are often a direct result of under-watering during all stages of growth.

Happy Growing!!
